About Me
I was born and raised in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 and moved to 🇺🇸 at 15. I’m a student of International Affairs with a regional focus on the EU! 🇪🇺 I’m very interested in transatlantic relations, language acquisition and cross-border policy. I am fascinated by the free mobility and regional cooperation in Schengen!
In 2023, I studied abroad in Strasbourg, France 🇫🇷 and spent a month in Türkiye for a project for uni 🇹🇷
In 2024, I will be working and studying in Spain for a month too! 🇪🇸 after doing the Road to Santiago, I plan on visiting Portugal 🇵🇹 and Morocco 🇲🇦 then heading East towards the Balkans! ❤️
That said: ⚠️⚠️ As someone dedicated to fighting for equity and social justice, I am not a safe space for culturally or ethnically insensitive comments. I will not entertain this kind of humor.
⚠️⚠️⚠️ Also, note that I am not here to date. Please don’t reach out to me in this manner. If you disregard this, unfortunately I will have to block you. In some cases I will also write a negative review because you shouldn’t be using this as Tinder.
— for hosts:
Thank you very much for your hospitality and willingness to open my home to me. However, I do highly prefer to have my own sleeping space or room when I stay with a male host. I understand unfortunately this isn’t the type of accommodation a lot of hosts can offer, but it is important to my comfort level. I do not share sleeping surfaces. I assure you it is nothing personal and I thank you in advance for understanding! ❤️
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m really interested in how people live around the world—their habits, their values, their priorities. What better way to get to know a place than through a local’s eyes?

I’m very interested in societal development. I want to know how we can build a more effective and inclusive society for people of all kinds to succeed.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Started solo traveling in 2019! Visited 15 countries by the time I was 20 and now I’m at about 30 :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Practicing Spanish, English; helping with household chores :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I don’t like to view things as a transaction, but I do understand that it is important for both parties to receive something that makes the experience valuable. That’s why I like to help in any way I can :)
For example: If you cook for me, please allow me to clean the dishes!
I am also very happy to help you practice your Spanish or English!
